Derek is engaged to provide professional services to TMR ranging from corridor alignment studies and protection, BRT infrastructure planning, preliminary detail design, new facility design, development of design standards and peer reviewing a wide range of different types and forms of public transport information for TMR in Queensland.  He is currently working closely with TMR to develop the Regional Public Transport network manual based on the successful TransLink Bus network infrastructure manual.   He has been responsible for the preparation of planning and design standards including the Busway Planning and Design manual (BPDM- TMR), Public Transport Infrastructure Brand and theme for TTA (TransLink Transit Authority – South East Queensland).

The transport architecture developed by Derek forms recognisable typologies for the different and varied forms of BRT networks in Australia and SE Asia and responds to the varied temperate, sub tropical and tropical climates of cities; their context and location and local capabilities.

The following is a brief list of recent transport projects. It summarises the key characteristics of each project. Further Information including photographs and concept drawings specifically illustrating the planning and design of each project is available for discussion purposes upon request.
