Jansen Design is a boutique architectural practice located at Avalon specialising in the design and delivery of creative, practical and affordable projects.  We have over 40 years experience, and offer creativity, quality, excellence and value.

As registered architects, we initiate and manage a process in which we take responsibility for a project from client briefing through design and regulatory approvals, and construction, to post completion.  We use our design and method skills and training to arrive at functional, sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and economic solutions which meet client and community expectations.

We are serious about sustainability and embed it as a core element into the fabric of our work, it is unseen, seamless and supportive.

Our principal architect Emile Jansen has worked in some of the largest commercial architectural practices in Sydney, Brisbane and China, where his body of work includes private homes; high rise apartments; town houses; aged care facilities; office blocks; industrial buildings; retail premises; hospitality and hotels; an airport, two grandstands, an Olympic pool, a church and community libraries.

Our expertise includes:

  • concept design and design development,
  • approvals documentation and submission,
  • construction documentation,
  • consultant co-ordination and tender negotiation,
  • contract administration.
  • expert witness & forensic analysis & remedial work

We provide our clients with a Feasibility Study, which includes a series of meetings and design workshops to establish a base plan and a probable project cost.  This is an affordable process which enables our clients to engage the expertise of an architect early, to provide the information they require before progressing their project through to completion.
